Don't think it works that way, the seller gets the money, PayPal take it from your account after a timed deemed acceptable for delivery. An honest seller wouldn't post the item till its paid for, I certainly wouldn't.

Do what Scaley said. Pay with PayPal and let them resolve any trouble. Never a problem since!

Always go for sellers with +99% feedback.
I also use Paypal's pay after delivery service.
If the goods don't turn up, or ain't as described, raise a case and the seller doesn't get paid till it's resolved

Ebay do not police their site properly so you have to be really careful
I only buy from sellers with lots of feedback at no less than 99.9% (unless I have dealt with the buyer previously or really desperate to get the item they are selling)
I got caught out buying some mach 3 razors which were obviously counterfeit as soon as I used them. You would never have guessed looking at the packaging etc
It turned out the seller had been done previously & simply re-registered with a different username
I complained twice to Ebay, yet never got a reply
I also had an attempted scam a few years ago
I put in a bid for a motorbike just prior to going on holiday to the West Indies
I told my mate who said he would watch the bidding on my behalf & put in a snipe bid on his Ebay account to make sure I got it
He won the bid & collected the bike for me
A few days after I got back I got a message (apparently from the seller, though it wasn't) to say the bike had been re-listed & that I could purchase it at my original bid!
I reported the scam to Ebay but again, never got a reply from them
Buyer beware!

One of my old debtors used to sell her worn knickers. Made a fucking mint. Set up a po box so no tracing her.
Would just buy shitloads of cotton ones from primark then wear them all day, have a scratch, then sell them. Shed do requests like piss and shit as well. In her prime she was making about £300 a week.

Isn't there some sort of disclaimer on there to stop all the naughty stuff?
I mean with the history etc, the evidence is there to get the po po involved surely, as it's no different to theft.

I've been hearing loads of stories about people getting knocked on E Bay, or being sent something clearly different to what was advertised etc.

My old man loves selling stuff he buys from auctions on eBay so much, that when the stamp price was going to go up quite a bit, the silly sod bought £600's worth of stamps.
I bought a jar of knorr stir in fajita sauce once for £1, which to this day is the only online purchase of my life.
I'm a dinosaur with both football and technology obviously :o(

Just buy your 'Black Mamba 14" dildo' direct from the Ann Summers store instead.
